A Portrait of the Priesthood, by Fr. Antonio Anderson, SOLT
Father Antonio Anderson, S.O.L.T., has written a short, incisive analysis of the Roman Catholic Priesthood as it is experienced in these troubled times. As valuable as his words are in understanding todays priest, his life and work among the poor of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, offer a far more valuable picture of what todays priest should be like. I commend this book to all who seek to understand what it means to be a priest of Christ in todays world.

Bishop Emeritus of Corpus Christi
Father Anderson elucidates the identity of a priest on a solid philosophical and theological footing, while painting an accurate picture of the forces of secularization and relativism that attack that identity on a daily basis. In this presentation, priests are challenged to resist a normal guy theology and instead to live the gift they have received from God with grateful and generous hearts, i.e. to be men of God for others.
