Our Lady of Good Help by Edward Looney
Our Lady of Good Help: Mary’s Message, and Mission for Adele Brise and the World provides a three-fold analysis of the Virgin Mary’s 1859 apparition to Adele Brise in Champion, Wisconsin. The message and history of the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help is presented by using a unique analysis looking at Mary’s revealed name, her message, and the mission she entrusted to Adele. The second part analyzes the apparition within a historical context, both for 1859 and for today’s contemporary world. Lastly, Adele’s apparition is compared and contrasted with other approved apparitions of the Church, including Guadalupe, Lourdes, Fatima, Beauraing, and Banneux, in order to show the many similarities between Our Lady’s message and mission given to her visionaries throughout the years.
